ESA Summer ticket sales are postponed due to the coronavirus

ESA is closely monitoring the situation with ESA Summer. The working assumption is, as of today, that ESA Summer shall go ahead as planned. However, the situation regarding national and local quarantine can develop rapidly. As a result we are postponing ticket sales until the beginning of May at the earliest. ESA suggests that you do not book travel until tickets are on sale. This time period will allow us to continue to assess the situation and to put in place a “Plan B” should we have to postpone ESA Summer until later in the year.

It is hoped ESA submissions shall begin following the conclusion of ESA Together.

ESA SUMMER 2020

25 July to 1 August

ESA Summer is the larger of ESA’s two events. As of 2018 it has been held in the Quality Hotel View, Malmö, Sweden.

ESA is a week-long event, with the primary goal of raising money for a charity. ESA Summer 2020 will be raising money for Alzheimersfonden(internal link). We achieve this through parallel long broadcasts on online television platform Twitch.tv via our two channels, twitch.tv/esamarathon and twitch.tv/esamarathon2

The ESA Summer stream typically begins on Saturday afternoon and will run through to the following Saturday evening. Attendees are welcome to arrive Friday onwards and are expected to depart on the Sunday after the stream ends. Volunteers may arrive Wednesday onwards to assist with the setup that begins on Thursday.
